Hey! This is my first submission on Furaffinty, about a pottery wasp I made for
riocynn
It is made out of clay and painted with acrlylic paint. The wings are out of slide and epoxy resin which makes the wings more stable. I invested alot of time, to make that wasp. In the process of making the limbs, they often broke, so I had to remake them over and over. After finally satisfied with the outcome, I placed the wasp in a firing furnace and baked it by 1000°C (1273K).
After that, I mixed some acrylic paints and painted it!
Sadly, I did not made it in time, so it was finished a week after his brthday. Nontheless he was freaking happy about it!
Unfortunately the wasp is very fragil and even broke once. A special pottery adhesive and epoxsy resin helped us to fix the broken parts.
Now he is a proud owner of the pottery wasp.
