What started as a simple experiment to see at what point I can manipulate sounds from simple samples turned into a little ambient project made entirely out of samples from
thegreatestwriterontheplanet's readings of The Hobbit, found here. Sort of a proof of concept thing. Expect more sounds like this in the near future, if a bit more melodious.

Nice harmonics.
One can achieve a nice result (or what I would term a nice result) via a processing chain of increasing tempo (not increasing speed) and then adding reverb. Also, grain shifting.
And if you want to be really fancy, you can vocode a voice with itself. (the same wave acting as the carrier and the modulator)
...also, sdding vscumr tube aplification or compression (or an emulation of tubes) will add a lot of fancy even-numbered harmonics to your sounds, which ass octaves.
