Cliche, but it fits XD
A lion as king, dressed in purple robes, the color of royalty. The robe/cape is meant to be stylized to create movement and echo the spirtal-esque background.
Gift for Frank Mulvey, my drawing teacher whom I want to thank for everything he taught me. He`s an excellent teacher, and a great person. Teachers rarely get a thanks from their students. My friends and I got together and made a little card series similar to this with words that describe him. Were not getting him for drawing class anymore, so we did this for him.
The frame has its imperfections, it was made by hand. I`ll get better at it though.
If you ever get a chance to see frank`s work, do it. Hes freaking INSANE.

If anyone wants to afford a color commission by me, a bust piece such as this is an option as it would be cheaper. Of course you don`t need to include a frame.

A might king! This Frank person sounds really cool. I love how noble you made this guy, and the unique coloring you gave him. With the blue eyes and the beard, very awesome :) And you did the frame from hand?! Thats fantastic, and so damn even and symmetrical O.O thats skill right there!
