Is it just me, or does she look like she has no teeth? It's not that it's wrong, it's still incredibly adorable, and a wet version would be a great addition to this piece, but a dry one is still cute.

This is definitely something new and fun to see. The pose, in particular, seems like a challenging one to pull off. You succeeded, though. :)

I see what you mean by the background. There's just something a teenie-tiny bit off. It is a more complicated background to do. The angle in which you have the crib means there is a lot of other things to consider in doing a background of this sort. With practice, I know you'll only improve in making such backgrounds even better.

What you did in taking the best of the background with Pinkie Pie in this FA Upload is perfect. A great way to allow yourself the experiment of trying a full background while still making it possible to say, "Nah, this didn't come out quite like I hoped. So, I'll just focus on the subject of the work and go for the win."

Backgrounds are really hard. Even if not trying for specific angles. So, I think it is great you are always finding ways to challenge yourself as an artist so you can keep getting better. :)

Here in the United States, we have a candy that is known as a "Ring Pop". It is supposed to look like a ring with a jewel on it. However, when the one with it puts it in their mouth, it looks like a pacifier / dummy.

I'd imagine Pinkie Pie would approve of Ring Pops. Candy to suckle on is much tastier than your standard paci / dummy.

I also like the facial expression. Kind of makes you think she's saying, "I'm cute, right?"

I wonder if she'd ever, to have fun with the baby Cakes, do something like this? We do know she already does well in diapering herself. :)
