A tragic day it was in Los Angeles, California on the 28th of February 1997. An urban war erupted between 200 law enforcement officers and two heavily armed and thickly armored bank robbers. In my original story, my fursona, Lang Shu's father, Lang Wen was shot down by one of the robbers while trying to help the civilians escape. His body was taken to a secret biology research institution for dissection along with his unconscious brother, Shu's uncle Lang Zan, who escaped with his brother's body before they were both slit open. Fleeing back to his mountain village in Luoyang, Henan Province, China, Zan was heartbroken to the loss of his brother, and even more so watching his nephew and his sister and law break down in tears. Rain or shine, the thirteen year old Lang Shu visited his father’s grave to say his evening prayers while holding his father's necklace tight in his fist, little did he know that the passion in his tearful grieving caused many thunderstorms, a result of his Langren power. Later in his life, he would be the first Langren harness the element of lightning that lurks within.
