I hope this show is worth watching and isn't a bad show for us sonic fans.

I blame 4KidsTv for the bad sonic show(s? if they had more than one that is)

The sonic shows from the 90s were by DiC, not 4Kids, and some of them were actually pretty good, Sonic Underground was the one that wasn't so good. Sonic X wasn't a 4Kids show either, it was just dubbed by 4Kids, and they really weren't trying to ruin it, they just got a 4 pack of anime licenses and didn't check them out carefully, they just saw the surface and thought that it perfect for kids because it looked kiddish. The reason for a lack of cast was partly because they never heard of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, again it just looked like a show perfect for marketing towards kids at a quick glance, the other being that the founder and CEO is the business monger type, the kind of person who owns and runs a business and is only interested in money and making more of it, the kind of people I despise and never want to become. This show has nothing to do with 4Kids, especially since that company went bankrupt at the end of 2012 or 2013, and unlike all past western made sonic shows this actually is made in part by Sega and Sonic Team, hell even top sonic franchise producer Takashi Iizuka has some involvement in this show.

4Kids has ruined other shows as well, One Piece is a good example. Back to SonicX though, that show was horribly dubbed and for some reason or another, "censored" for odd things, like Rouge's chest for example. In the japanese original (as well as non 4Kids dubs) her chest doesn't look like one solid mass of flesh. SonicX has perfect potential as a kids show, hell I even went as far as to watch it in japanese with english subtitles, and it made hell of a lot more sense.

But yeah, I know that the older shows weren't by 4Kids (heck, sonicX isn't even by them) but they don't do that great with dubbing and the like. And yeah, I agree with you on hating business mongers, makes things even worse in the long run. Honestly, I am hoping that Sonic Boom can be successfully pulled off. It'd be awesome to see.

The only thing that sucked about Sonic X was Chris...he wasn't needed and he stole some of the character's roles like convincing Shadow to save everyone and constantly being up Sonic's ass when that's Amy and Tails' job XD

Yeah, agreed that Chris wasn't a needed character (not to mention that he was a whiney pissant), but the dubbing was kind of atrocious on 4Kids' part.

I think it might be a huge step forward, it actually has the in-game voice cast providing voices for the characters in the show, that usually never happens in America.

And I know about 4Kids ruining other anime, One Piece being the worst, they were included in that 4-pack of anime licenses I mentioned, they ruined it because they didn't check them carefully and just assumed because they looked like a kid's show at first glance that they would make for perfect marketing techniques so they basically had alot more to edit out than they assumed. Not justifying it, just stating the facts.

But in all honesty, while 4Kids did ruing Sonic X, I didn't find the original version any better.

I found the original version a lot better in the sense that it actually made sense. There were literally some parts in the american dub that made absolutely no fucking sense because of how they edited it.

I understand, the studio did not get the concept of a continuing story, to them any show is separate episodes, plus they didn't check the series. The reason I didn't like it even in Japanese was because the story was lame, the art was pretty bad to me, etc. Just saying.

Well, for the year it came out, the art was fairly decent (though compared to newer anime now, it is horrible) sure, story was lame, but hey it was just supposed to entertain kids, to which it did.

Actually, based on the content of the original version, it wasn't a kid's anime.

I didn't find much to gear it towards an older audience IMO

I found a bit of mature content in there, such as strong language as one example.

Huh, that's odd, cause I didn't see much of anything when I watched it.
Then again, a LOT has changed since SonicX ratings wise.

I just remember seeing the subbed version, plus hearing the actual English curses said on audio.

Okay, you must have seen a fan dub somewhere, cause I taped the entire series (yeah, I taped every episode, I was like 13 x3), and heard nothing in the way of cursing.

It wasn't a dub, it wad the original Japanese.

Hmmm, still odd because I really do not remember any sort of curing in the original japanese version.
Though, my memory could just be failing me on that :I
