Ah, blessed Chasoium, was just reading a "Worlds of Cthulhu" just today. An RL friend got to run some people in Call of Cthulhu at the weekend, made me pine for RP again!

Yeah but a natural 20 is bad in Pendragon. And I envy the Call of Cthulhu - really I love the game and a lot of people just hate the chance their character will die, so much, that so few people are interested in playing it.

I've never played Cthulhu much, nor read much of the literature, but I like the mythos

I haven't GMed in forever but I'd love to do one-shot horror/action roleplays, where I just thrust the pre-made characters into people's paws so they can't complain. Like a CoC mini-campaign. Like, I had an idea of one set in Iraq after the Museums were looted in 2003, players tracking down artefacts of Mythos value... But in a warzone, people can't get precious about their special character! =-P

Indeed with the fuzz. My boyfriend is half Palestinian and half Irish. He used to have to shave 3 times a day in Highschool...becasue in Texas schools it's apparently against the rules for men to have hair below the earlobes or have any scruff whatsoever.

Texas school rules are weird compared to California school rules.

Chaosium for the win! I'm sorting through my collection now :D

There really is a big stack of Chaosium books next to my desk. My friends wanted to get rid of the stuff - one of them doesn't even like CoC - so they thought I needed this huge box of stuff. There are repeats and some of the supplements are honestly kinda uninteresting, so those are in a big stack next to my desk.

(I kinda want to take the stuff I don't want, and drop them off in the games room of the local game shop with a big FREE TO GOOD HOME sign. Sure I could sell it online but I got this for free and kinda feel like suddenly getting this old stuff for free would be a nice surprise for someone else.)

Geez, are Chaosium & Call of Cthulhu still around? I used to play CoC when it first came out. I even have the board game around here somewhere.

This is old stuff which I got as a present (my friends didn't want it taking up their storage space. The books I don't want are stacked by my desk, the books I do want are in a box or my bookbag).
