Rossweisse's Shield

Being a Valkyrie, Rossweisse's shield would be of a quality worthy of a minor goddess. However, as a mere mortal, this was the best I could come up with. I had this made at http://www.viking-shield.com/ and painted it to look like Rossweisse's.

Did you go with the leather arm strap ?

No. The back has a wooden grip, which is proper for many Viking shields, but not for Rossweisse's, which is designed so it can be held in a few different ways. I could always add a leather strap later, but I don't plan to actually use it.

No, I couldn't afford custom armor like that, but the shield was something I could manage

That shield beats mine XD

And about the armour, the helmet is tricky, but the restis cloth and mail, so you can do it yourself ^^

...and so, drunk and bored, Rossweisse goes to an SCA event and shows them more authenticity than anyone bargained for....
