*update* updated image after finishing. will ink sometime in the future. not happy with the hand, odd angle and the fingers look funky. Need to just stop talking about it and do that damn hand foot and shoe study.
Since i don't have my scanner delivered yet a photo will have to suffice. Started working on this at Fur-The-More last weekend. uploading where I'm at right now. Coming along fairly well. still hate clothing, and I'm not to sure I'm happy with the skeleton I used for the face. have to try a few other methods to find the look I'm happy with.
Here is Amiya, star of the last uploads, clothed in the uniform of a CS Navy CWO2. This occurs some time in the story I've been working on featuring her which hopefully one day will be converted to some sort of graphic novel or webcomic or something. down the line once i work out all the kinks in my drawings, terrible as they are.
At this point in the story Amiya is working for the Terran Alliance, a member state of the Confederated systems. She has been disconnected from her people who are remaining out of sight as is their nature. driven by a desire for Vengeance she enlisted into the military at what for her was to young an age, but quickly rises till she is offered a warrant and later a commission (CWO2) becoming the terrains first non human destroyer pilot.
The patch belongs to her ship of assignment, the insignia on her collar indicate her rate, in this case Navigation/pilot as a primary designation, Master At Arms as her secondary. I see her at this point right before she is re-united with her people and manages to convince them to join the cause of the Confederation who is currently engaged in a war for its survival. A decision that she will later come to regret.
main for now. once I ink and get a good scan I will move to scraps.

Thank you hun,
I kinda think it implys that they are deeper set, a bit of a thicker nasal to cranial ridge implying a thick bone plate on the front of the skull, Almost Neanderthal like, transitioning down into the muzzle a little. Large eyes implying a species used to low light environments. slitted for wider focus. still feel i want to compress the head a little more, narrow the muzzle and elongate it a little though... i got some good tips at the con, so trying to work with those a little.
