I've finally come out of hiding, as it were, and am going to share chapter one of a story I wrote some 10 years ago for NaNoWriMo or National Novel Writing Month. I'm doing revisions one chapter at a time, so this may take a while. The time I dedicate to this endeavor will depend on interest, both mine and that of the readers. So let me know if you want me to continue.

Edit: I've tried a few different file formats. For some reason FA is making a mess of the simple text file I upload, which I don't like using as all of the formatting is lost. I've also tried an rtf instead of the doc, but neither can be parsed by whatever method FA has for these submissions. So I'm going to have to leave it for readers to download. I know, it's preferable for it to be viewable on-site. If I find a way to make this possible, I'll do so.
