Oh still? Have you been singing too? :)
Well this song isn't very high up, just it is written in a very unpleasant register. And it is going around it all-the-time. D: so yep, it can be tiresome to sing it, but is not really hard! I always wanted to do it, but was always too emotional to gather myself together.
And thank you so much for faving it and giving a comment! Means a lot to me!

Lolz well I used to sing a lot more, but I'm an ftm transdude whose been on testosterone for just short of 2 years now I believe? Yeah. And since getting on T my voice obviously dropped, and there are some notes I used to be able to hit (I used to be able to sing Take On Me like a fraggin' boss XD) and now I simply can't do it anymore D: I'd like to get into voice lessons, maybe exersize my voice and gain back at least some of what I lost, or at least learn how to work with my new range better, but I'm no professional nor do I desire to be XD You're much much much better than I could hope to be hahaha
The song is...rediculously high XD But I do agree with you, the register is not for everyone. You nailed it though! There's few people who can sing it without sounding like they're straining themselves or trying too hard~
You're so very welcome dear :D

Oh dear, do not practice anything while you are under hormonal therapy, until your voice is changed completely! This is basically like going through puberty once again for your voice - only the change is more dramatic, because it is happening in the very short period of time, and going a whole scale down, not only few intervals. I would advise you to wait a bit until your voice is totally settled and then start taking lessons, with someone who would be aware of the change you are going through, so one could lead you in the best possible way! I guess you would either be a baritone or a tenor, most likely something in between - like a baritenor, a very rare kind of voice, which is usually brilliant! :D And I guess it is wonderful and exciting to take this path and rediscover your talent and new voice, it doesn't happen every day, so congrats and I really hope you have fun doing this! :D
And oh dear, don't ever compare yourself to me - I used to be a professional opera singer, but I had to drop out from school and basically my career recently, so I got out of practice, but still I had years and years of training and experience! In fact, one should never ever compare oneself in any way, we are all different and we are all individuals, but I believe each one has something wonderful to offer and most importantly - to give oneself a great hobby and enjoy the music! :)
I didn't really nail it XD I had a lot of mistakes, since it was very hard to control emotions while doing this song, but it is not the matter of the quality, but the fact I managed to do the song for the first time, after a while of planning to do something to commemorate my parents' deaths. I really want to do more, but it was very heartbreaking for me, I take it very personal, every word and every tone of some songs.

I've...never heard it said that way before. I'm happy to have gotten on hormones and what not - I really needed this change and I don't regret it - but I always told myself that the one major con of the whole thing is that it ruined my voice...but the way you put it, like a new adventure, that's...that's really meaningful to me :3 Thank you so much <3 <3 <3
Hot damn! That's amazing! Very impressive! Thank you so much for your kind words along with it!
I still think you did c: Yeah yeah, I could be a jerk and go "You missed this and that" or whatever, but under the circumstances I don't think it was bad at all. I could hear the raw emotion behind it, and the way that I feel about it, the emotion in cases like these matters more than specifically hitting this note or not being pitchy for that one, y'know? Had I not known the story behind your parents and just listened to the song, I'd feel the same way - this is an extremely powerful song when done right. And I do really think you did it right. Not that we really want to go back and relive tragedy's for the sake of art, but think about it - you recorded something pretty amazing. You'll never go back and be able to sing it with that sort of power again when you get through this grief. You have blessed your parents' souls with something truly immaculate, and sure, sure, you didn't match this or that specific note to the original recording but it's not like your cover was something that makes peoples' ears bleed either or even something hard to listen to.
In this case, not only do I prefer the "mistakes" made through your emotion, but I am proud of you for singing it through knowing how much you struggled. You take care darling <3 Many well wishes your way~

Well I believe there is a question of your existence and sexual identity to come to be solved here first, and then the question of your singing, and I don't think there should be thinking twice here before coming to a right decision. ;) If I was in your place I would certainly do the same as you did. A voice is only an instrument to us, and what we sing comes from our soul, so I don't think that you should be too worried if your voice is pitched this way or colored that way - it is your tool for 'painting' with music and giving something to the world. :)
And you are very welcome! :D
As for this song, our big problem was that we couldn't find a good instrumental to begin with... so this one had bad quality and was very hard for mixing and doing production on it. At some spots it sounds really bad because my friend didn't know how to match it with my vocals. So when we hear the vocals without it, it sounds good, but when put with the instrumental...well. Oh well, doesn't really matter! Thank you so much for your kind comment and your attention!
