The Caolagen are a peaceful race, created accidentally and released into the wild. They are primarily carnivores but can live without consuming meat, or any food at all.

During prolonged periods without food their colors dull and they become lethargic, but will not die unless severely wounded. They rarely fall ill, and when they do they usually get over their illness quickly.

Males and females of the species look almost identical, except that females are slightly larger. They live in small family groups of four to eight, with a dominant pair.

Occasionally, due to the presence of dragon genes in their DNA, they are born with elemental powers, and rarely with wings. Usually the wings are too small to be of any use, however.

The maximum size of this species is about the size of a large horse. They can shift freely between anthro and feral form. (anthro form ref coming soon.)
