Coming the day after, his coworker had all the stuff that he did all night stack high on there desk. No wonder the wanted to get rid of him. LOL
Remind me of people today that are working after hour on there home on there computer. The morning after coworker would find there inbox full of completed stuff needing there attention would be somewhat piss at him. Looking at the date and hour stamp one could see that he did work very late at night.

That's the same reason I got forced out. I took my work seriously and hated dealing with certain female co-workers who wouldn't do their jobs because they would tell me to do it and when I told them they needed to do their own jobs, they whined to the manager who backed them up instead of making them wise up.
Interestingly, I've been fired -- more than once -- for doing a job too well. Other workers complained that I made them look bad. I was there for a paycheck and couldn't give a rat's ass (no offense to any rats who are reading...) what they thought. IO often think the real reason was either that I just didn't fit in with the rest of them (I rarely "fit in" in the workplace), or that they were used to goofing off so much that they were genuinely offended when I just did my job. That, of course, was the great irony: I was fired for doing my job, well and properly. *shakes his old bear head* Welcome to American Business. My sympathies, pup.
Yeah, we're in times where some offices don't recognize your potential, but recognize you as the person who spends the most time with them.
In my last job, even though everyone was going to be fired, my boss promised to keep me there because "I did my job well", but on the last day, he fired everyone (including me) and kept those guys who always did overtime, accompanied them in dinners and worked in weekends.
In other words, if you want to grow up professionally in some workplaces, you HAVE to be an ass kisser.
