Okay, so this picture is finished! Finally! might as well throw in some info about him.
*Ops: First, those yellowy things in the background is supposed to be highlights from his vehicle. But as I cannot draw vehicles, I didn't make the vehicle visible. not completely. Background and all is pretty halfassed, but I still like how it came out.*
so, on to the info.
Name: Sykes Stryker
Age: Mid 30's to early 40's.
Gender: Male
Breed: Wolf x German Shepherd
Occupation before the apocalypse: Lieutenant in the army. Division not known.
Occupation during the apocalypse: he still sees himself as a Lieutenant, say, a boss.
Personality: Sykes is a very strange person, and very close minded. It seems like he doesn't care about anyone but himself, which is probably true, in all honesty. He enjoys to be the one in charge and enjoys to boss others around, it's almost like he's at peace when doing so. Just as he seems unnormally relaxed when killing, whether it is the dead or the living his killing, it's almost as if he feels that there's nothing that threatens him. He knows his own strength, and he knows exactly how much he can take.
He never really shows any signs of affection or other feelings for others. Neither to men or women, it's like he basically just shuts down his feelings whenever anyone is around, and if you ask into something, maybe something that happened when the outbreak started, or as to why he acts as he does.. He turns cold and directly threatens you on your life.. Say "If you know what's good for you, you'll stop asking!"
He also doesn't seem to have much mercy to anyone and he won't refrain from killing, no matter what the circumstances are. If you're bit or sratched, and he figures it out before you turn, he'll kill you and he won't give a damn if you're woman, old, a child or a 'friend'. You're just being killed in cold blood. Same as those who decide to rebell against him.
Sykes run his 'gang', using fear. Simply striking a shit ton of fear into the souls of those who decided to go with him and stay around(This includes soldiers from his division before the apocalypse, as well as random survivors they've passed by on their way.), and if they still don't seem to.. Understand the 'gravity' of the situation, he'll kill them. He won't let them leave, because in his eyes, by now, then they'd be knowing too much, and it would be horrible if they told others about Sykes and his crew.
Anyways. Despite Syke's seemingly 'lack' of feelings, he does have them, and is sometimes completely overwhelmed by them, of course, he seems to be this 'vulnerable' when he's alone, as if all of his memories and what not comes back to him for a while, as if to haunt him and just give him yet another grim reminder of what the world has turned into and what it cost him.
Sykes have declared to never submit to anyone, and if he comes across another group, that tries to blackmail him and his crew into joining them, and being under their command, he'll kill them. He won't hesitate and he will make his soldiers and what not, help out shooting the members of the other group. All of them.
However, maybe someone can break through to him? Hm, but who. That's the big, million dollar, question.
Background: Sykes did have a seemingly normal childhood, with happily married parents and 'adorable' younger siblings. Here by a little brother and a little sister. Sykes did spend a lot of time with these two, and really enjoyed the company of his siblings, and didn't mind it at all if their parents had to get out, for whatever the reasons may have been, and they then told him to look after his siblings. He would gladly do it. So yeah, Sykes was a pretty happy and normally functioning kid, and a, not very rebellious teenager when he got to that age.
Despite his younger siblings that where quite troublesome from time to time, Sykes was unusually docile, and very easy going. He paid attention when in school and got, okay grades, not top, but definately not bad either. Of course he'd go out with a couple of friends some times, and maybe party a little or drink a little, but nothing extreme. Nothing he'd ever get in trouble for.
Of course Sykes, as well as his siblings, continued to grow older, and at one point, Sykes decided to join the army, as he thought it would be an interesting experience, and to him it was and he did incredibly good, right from the start. His great behavior, attendence, and obedience at the time, earned him many great points, per say, and as the years went on, it got 'better' and better. Eventually he ended up getting the rank 'Lieutenant' which made Sykes world, all the much better than it already was.
Of course he and the other army men, would return to their homes at some points, and have some time of to themselves, and then every now and then be called in for service. However, some of the home-periods, were fairly long, which earned Sykes a lot of time with his girlfriend, Victoria, whom he later on married, they got a son, which they named Andrew. Life was pretty much all good for all of them, until Sykes all of a sudden got called out to service. However, Sykes saw nothing wrong with it and didn't suspect anything out of the ordinary, and just went to 'work'.
As he arrived there, he and his division where informed about some strange behavior from a larger group of immigrants, that earlier that night had seemed fairly friendly, despite everything. They were told how the immigrants then in the moment of a flash had turned and started to act wierd before attacking some nearby soldiers that were heading back after training. So Sykes and his division moved out to take a look at it. They didn't get far though, before the hostile immigrants saw them and limpingly started to slowly run towards the soldiers, however, as they got closer, they could all see something different about these, and when they seemed to be wanting to take a bite of them, the soldiers started shooting at them. Unaware of where to hit at first, they just all went for the hearts, lungs, all major organs and lastly the head. Of course this went fast, as far most of the soldiers were using assault rifles or other heavy machine guns.
After having killed the strange group, Syke and one of the Sergeants moved closer to get a better look at their kill. They didn't get to look much though, before some rattling sounds on the bushes a few meters away caught their attention, but as they where to walk closer, they were called back in, and they quickly retreated. Apparently some police officers and the mayor of the nearby city had sent out a signal for the nearby soldiers, and they where sent to the city to try and look up on what was going on.
There was slight panic on the streets by now, and it actually only got worse when people realized the military had been called in on it as well, meaning, that whatever was going on, was now dead serious. Sykes teamed up with the 'main' cop, which also happened to be his younger brother, and they started to talk about what the hell was going on, as Sykes was still fairly confused about the whole situation, and his little brother began the best he knew to explain, what he knew about this strange phenomenem. The soldiers were supposed to keep a larger group of survivors, including the cops, alive and they did fairly well, until someone left his post, and one of the officers where taken, this being Sykes little brother.
Of course Sykes reacted to it, quickly when he heard his brother call out in a sense of panic, and Sykes of course rushed to help out his brother. He shot the infected that had assaulted his brother, before then quickly running the last few meters over to him, to get a better look of him. However, he quickly realized that nothing could be done at this point, as his brother was bleeding out, pretty fast. Out of mercy, Sykes drew his handgun and put an end to his brothers suffering, before he straightened his back and furiously turned around, and started to look for the idiot who had left his post.
Sykes did also find him, and he didn't hesitate one moment, before he drew his assault rifle and shot the soldier to pieces. This caught the attention of the rest of the division, which froze in pure shock over what had just happened. Sykes finished the shoot off, and then took a look around at all the people that was staring, before he demanded that they'd get back to work. Which they did, without any further hesitation. it seemed like they didn't want to get on Sykes bad side, specially not now.
However the situation quickly grow worse and worse, and it got too extreme and too out of hand for Sykes and his soldiers to handle, so they retreated. Sykes told the others where to go, and that they should go there, and wait for him, as he had to check something first, go get someone. The soldiers just did what they was told, and Sykes rushed home.
At first he couldn't find his wife, and their son was sound asleep, well, at least until Sykes stepped inside. As the little one woke up, he just quietly went over and picked him up and quietly hushed him before proceeding to look for Victoria, only to found that she had committed suicide. At some point, this broke Sykes' heart, because he really had thought that she'd know he'd come back for them. Despite everything, Sykes brought his son along, out of the city. Before any infected could get them.
Sykes eventually caught up with his soldiers and they proceeded to move further, looking for a somewhat secure place, or a place that they could make secure, pretty easily. However, fate wanted it differently, and they lost a few soldiers on this, and not only soldiers, but also the little kid. Which sort off, was the final straw.
That was when Sykes realized what the world was now, and that he couldn't allow anyone to think for themselves, as they were apparently all too stupid to do anything. Eventually the rest of the division found a safe place, that they kept and still keeps safe, while Sykes is running the whole thing with a firm and cold hand.
BAM.
There. now, after reading about his past, it kinda makes sense why he's such an asshole, right?
