Nice Picture. Doesn't remind me of an alchemist though... more of a Steampunk-mouse-thingy with weird Boots and a fetish for test-tubes. The pictures on this site show pretty well how I would imagine an alchemist: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alchemie
Considering the later usage of the character maybe you should revise the Clothing-style. Apart from that: nicely done. I like the "mad-scientist-hair". :)

It's true, some steampunk did slip into the design. By tradition, alchemists were depicted as robed praticioners of inexplicable forces, but in the setting of Dungeons and Dragons, that would just make them look the exact same as any other spellcaster.
For my design I took a practical approach. She'll be working out in the field doing her experiments (requiring some protection and weapons), gathering all kinds of odd ingredients (meaning she has to carry her portable lab equipment and sickle and plenty of pouches) and has to be able to draw the potion she needs whenever the occasion arises (hence the many vials lined along bandoliers).
Her robe doubles as armour and lab equipment, allowing her to concoct extracts and elixirs in the field, protecting her fur, eyes and airways with just a quick reassembly of what she's wearing. Unfortunately this means she's been shocked and exploded plenty of times, so her exposed hair looks all frizzy and blown back as a result.
Finally the boots I'll admit I had trouble with designing. In the end, I went with something that would protect her from chemicals spilling onto them as well as rubber soles to ground her against shocks.
I hope that helps explain why I went for this particular design instead of soemthing more historical or traditional :3

Well - for a P&P-Character it's pretty well tought through.
Although I prefer Characters with more visible weaknesses (like: no weapons, hurts him/herself from time to time, extreme codex, etc.) for actually playing - I fully understand the design now.
Thank you for the explanation and have a lot of fun playing this Character! :)

I could say Kamikazegnom has a few good points however, i say u do not need to to change it up to significantly, What i would recommend is that she be carrying more scientific aparatus maybe even add multiple slide-on lenses for her goggles or maybe incoporate larger glass bottles and or tubes and if necessary give her a back pack with writing stationary and weird ingredients =3. Other than that i reall love the way she's drawn, its got alot of strong characteristics which i like. The alchemist seems cheerful yet has that nice adventurer look that i like.
Thanks! I've already explained Kami my design choices, feel free to read my reply above. Other than that, you make some interesting suggestions. I did want to give her all kinds of different bottles to carry around, but in the end, anything made from glass is very vulnerable on your body when you go out on adventure. Bigger bottles would mean bigger risks as smaller vials are harder to break. Most of her fragile equipment and book are stored away in her back pack (mostly out of view).
Mmm, geeky mice... there's never enough of them.
Also, I'm impressed that her style is a lot like the iconic look for D&D alchemists! Playing an artificer was some of the most fun I'd ever had in D&D, especially since the setting was in the middle of a magical industrial revolution... Good times.
One suggestion about her design that I have to second: Plenty of scorch marks on her gear.
