It was beautiful, and delicious! I definitely plan on returning.

What a fantastic pixelscape!

I got stuck with Baton Rouge. Every time I go to New Orleans or Metaire it's all lit up and there's all kinds of neat things to do. The stores are stocked and clean, the people are generally modern and there is a distinct lack of the confederate flag.

Baton Rouge though... Good lord. No matter how many people live over here this city just cannot break out of Redneck. I live north of Walker, and for me to get out of redneck land I have to go all the way to the LSU campus area. Baton Rouge needs help. It's so boooooring.

Louisiana has a few hidden beauties, but the majority of it is very depressing.

New Orleans, however, has definitely captivated my heart!

It is, in my opinion, an awful state to live in. Can't afford to leave though. And another summer is coming, another long, miserable, potentially hurricane filled summer. After living my entire adult life here (so far), I need a better climate.

I should, however, balance my complaining out with something positive.

I do love the food here. You ever been to Covington? There's a place there called Bear's restaurant. Best Poboys in the south. I promise.
