After Lauren and Topaz had been thrown into the disc wars, they had responded to Lauren's attempt to help her by taking her away. She had no idea where she was, but she knew that she was the only one that could help her.

They had put Topaz on a light cycle, and put her in a massive arena with half a dozen others. The orange lights of the enemy cyclists streaked across the arena towards the blue of the six players.

Topaz sped up and tried to think ahead, realizing that like a game of go, one could not use the same space more than once. She watched the first player derezz, and without delay the light ribbon dropped down as if it was never there.

She pushed forward, and led an enemy program along with her. At the last second, she swerved to the left and watched him derezz into tiny glowing cubes. "Now to find where they took Lauren."
