Hmm, first thing I actually noticed is that the lines seem to be thinner. At least in the face and throat.
What exactly was the request, actually? I have trouble identifying this. ...And the tags aren't helping me much.
He seems very cool and no-nonsense, which is, I think, what you wanted to achieve. I suppose the camo outfit also helps show this side of his personality.

Ah, now I get it. Alder Blackhorn is the name of the character and it's not a Pokémon at all...
I kept trying to find the link between the names "Alder", "Blackhorn" and Pokémon. All I could find were the Unova champion and Blackthorn City, neither of which seem to have anything to do with this drawing or each other. ...That's why I was confused.
