Cuz sum folks liek this sort of thing.....
1. Rough sketch, all on one layer.
2. Paint in some face details, fur, etc. Strengthen shade and hi-lights.
3. In prep for doing a “proper painting” i lift Dorrie onto a level above the background, put some illumination fx on her and a bit more detail painting, then put in hard lines for BG. Left like this for some months...busy busy busy....
4. BG textures etc are put in on about eight layers and then collapsed to two layers. Some illumination fx in room ouside of doorway. Tone down hi-lights, smooth out outlines of breasts with vector lines – still, she's a bit too big there – looks more like Amy than Dorrie.
5. Reduce breast size (in retrospect, not quite enough – oh well...).Refine shading and colour of jumpsuit – and ad texture fx on it 6 layers – each side breast/shoulder, tummy, each leg, middle zipper section, and collar – each section has some warp distortion on it to make it look 3D.
6. Blow-up working size from 2000x2000 pixels to 4000x4000. Blue down over all picture a little and add shade in BG behind her head. Add in some more orange bounce light on jumpsuit and table. Dulled down colour of nose and add texture, then moved her mouth over a bit and shortened teeth. Add wood grain to light trim and door frame.
7. Bluer still – more bounce light, fur fx, fix seam on leg. Add a bit more volume to her waist and back.
8. Move her mouth over a bit, add ear. Ad back-lit hair detail. Make her cheeks a bit less wide. More detail and fur painting – almost done....
9. Some little things like zipper handle and name tag etc – and finished for now.

Thought process behind first stage "How can i get this done quickly?"
3rd:"This BG will take way too long to do...put it off...."
4th:" Huh. BG didn't take long at all...what wuz i thinkin...?"
5th: "i can't get the lighting i wanted on the jumpsuit...it looks like silk or satin, not denim...but...well, i guess it's more dramatic that way...artistic licence or laziness? feh...whatever..."
6th: "why can't i get her mouth right??? What the heck is wrong wiff me??? First not knowing what to do with gums/lips, then teeth too long, then i realize she has a huge under bit, so i moved it over and...damnit...it still doesn't look right! grrrrrrrrrr!!!!!"
7th: "Argh! She's too thin! She doesn't look like she's leaning forward!!! AAAAARRGGH!!! add some hip, waist, back....damnit...!!!!"
8th: "Damn it. This doesn't look at all like what i wanted....damn damn damn....i suck."
9th: " well...the stitching on her name was a bit less than i wanted....but a fairly nice zipper tag....hmmm.Ready to post! That was easy! Lalalalalal-lalaala-lllaaaaa! i r a jeeneeuz!! :) "
Thus the pathetic truth.....

Haha.. I understand you there.
I've actually been drawing again myself, and I'm finally at the digital coloring stage, but I feel like I've bitten of more than I can chew with it. Instead of passing past the obstacles though, I'm more or less surrendering to them.
I need to up my game!
Still, I always appreciate your skill and levity with your processes. The added humor is worth it. ;)
