Larry LeGeuff (played by yours truly)

Ah, Larry! I first tried out this character back in April 2012 (almost two years ago, gosh!). Back then he was Larry the Loafer, as I hadn't arrived at a surname for him and his brother Gary the Gent, who I also essayed back then. Below are their original forms using a prosthetic nose I commissioned and had no part in creating.

In August 2013 I did my own sculpt version of my ideal toon dog nose and handed it over to a makeup artist friend to fabricate. It's been quite a wait, but I feel that this new and very much improved version of Larry is quite excellent.

Compared to the other characters I made up using just rubber mask grease paint (Gary and Buck), I prepainted this nose with acrylic tinted latex for an undercoat before using RMG paint to finalize the look. So although the application and final paint took a bit over two hours, I had done at least an hour plus of prepaint beforehand. Honestly it made no massive difference, but it was worth experimenting with.

Larry LeGeuff is a surly belligerent goofball who likes to smoke, drink, sass talk, eat burgers and chase after big bears when he isn't working a variety of jobs to maintain those habits. He is the younger brother of Gary LeGeuff, and gives his brother grief every chance he can, mostly for no good reason other than to try and chip away at Gary's saintly manner. One day he will cross the line and get more than he bargains for!
