It was funny, this was in the mall I had to walk through to get to the convention, and the mom wanted a pic of her daughter with me. Girl was actually pretty cute, and I don't claim to like children. She would copy my poses and rawr.
My mom was concerned I'd scare children, but i didn't have a single one afraid of me. Most (ages 2-7) wanted high fives.

Lol! I think children at anime cons / general cons are less afraid then kids at furry cons. I'd say the majority of furry costumes are cutesy toon style costumes (something kids want to hug) where as at general cons, there are a lot more insane costumes. Parents who bring their kids to the more general cons expose them to "scarier" stuff and it becomes normal and fun. Seeing scary furry costumes is less common.
yea thats definitely true. Theres a lot more variety surrounding anime/ other cons, while at a fur con you sometimes have to actually go looking for that. So when a kid is at a fur con amongst all the cute suits and suddenly sees a terrifying one it can be a bit more traumatic i suppose hahah
