Crossposting this from my Weasyl account (which I'll update again someday...), this is some lineart drawn on request a couple months ago by
namelessenemy that I did some flat coloring for. I'm learning how to do that!
EDIT: New updated image posted!
The thing about Circ is that all other brown-furred cats I write about come from him. He is the baseline that all other similar-looking characters spring from. Consider other versions of this character "templates" thrown on the basis of this guy's experience. Their experiences and personalities may be different due to being within different settings, but they are all divergent from this one freaking mewface.
So what is he like?
Well, for one, he almost had a string of numbers as a name thanks to his transhumanist feline parents. Only a nurse working hard to suggest a different name at the time saved him from receiving it. Instead, Mom and Dad chose a name that they thought would still fit him after the Singularity came around, a technological-based name to fit a society based around a technological lifestyle. Circ!
Growing up, this name got him a few odd looks, and he's generally been a little insular thanks to his family's philosophical lifestyle (which he doesn't really believe in but doesn't look down on, either), but other than that he's had a pretty nice childhood. It's made him into a clever, kinda panicky, but all-around good-hearted feline. Things have sort of been revolving between living by himself and living with his family, but that's all good!
