![Click to change the View cats don't dance [they dj] sketch](http://d.furaffinity.net/art/oce/1210969421/1210969421.oce_catdj-preview.jpg)
No matter how many times I tried to finish this when I originally sketched it (2006) it just didn't come out as lively as the sketch looks, namely ecause of its wobbliness and imperfections. Posting it now because I like it enough to want to try again with a fresh mind (two years is awhile). Seems like it might make a good t-shirt. :3

Hmmm, much as I'm inclined to agree, the symmetry, even though it's not as realistic, seems to offer a fairly good pic. ^_^ Besides, one could potentially argue it's a design similar although different to that Q-One or whatever it's called - the QFO. Or just call it Beatmania IIDX style? ^_^
what are you talking about? the QFO is just a mixer and turntable integrated in one for scratch DJs (very cool but horribly overpriced). there's no such thing as a turntable that turns the other way. clockwise is always forward, counter-clockwise is backspinning. Also IIDX has absolutely nothing to do with mixing or DJing
All one would have to do is make a one off where it's a mirror image, and then have the tonearm designed so that the cart would be mounted inversely, thereby still allowing for the same rotation patterns of the turntable in and of itself. So, in truth, it is quite possible, although fairly unlikely.
Or, one could just argue he's got the one turntable backwards, it approximates closely enough

Such is something I can understand. I'm just trying to point out that although they are incorrect for actual djing use, 98% of the population isn't going to care as much as those who dj or promote or produce music. I wouldn't mind such a turntable being in production because then it would be a great deal easier to do right hand scratches with the left hand on the cross fader for the left turntable as I'm more comfortable that way (even vertical or battle style setups can be frustration for playing around).
I personally find it a very lovely piece of artwork - if it were realism I was looking for I'd look more towards photos of events I've been to or others have been to, however therein lies the debate with furry artwork - as to how much fantasy to incorporate into realism, or vice versa. Your point is fairly valid one :)

Move the cat's body left or right, so it's either leaning left along the line of the finger, or curving right perpendicular to it. Also fill in the mice solid color (black?), their silhouettes are easy enough to read, you don't need the extra internal details. But a wonderful concept regardless! :D
Actually, I disagree. The mice could be visually confusing (look at the two outside ones) when as silhouettes.
I think they'd be better staying white, although I do agree about the cat - he appears to be standing quite straight. Slouch! Lean!
Excellent sketch though, I like it!
