A wonderful wonderful portrait of my sylvan Willow from KaiyaKaiju
It has been a while coming but not once have I been put out by the wait, and now it is clear that it was all worth it!
The superb detail on this being has left me lost for words, truly. Even the transparency of the ear(s) is a wonderful thing to see!
I will be flapping over how good this is for some time!

Willow, oak, beech and yew,
A stranger beast, I never knew.
Tri-tendrilled limbs support it's weight,
Whilst wooden hands help create,
The image of a tree, but still,
It is clear this one has free will.
A brain to think and lips talk,
Even the balance it needs to walk.
It is a Sylvan, neither he nor she,
A being that one can rarely see.
In forests dense and woodlands vast,
This creature was built to last.
Old as the hills, but fresh as the air,
The creature here seems so fair.
So love it well and respect it, do
whether it be willow, oak, beech or yew.Art ©

WOW, she looks sooo amazing!!! I am totally blown away by this, such a unique and beautiful character, the artist really did a brilliant job with her. Those details are stunning, her face is so kind and I LOVE those roots/tree bits~ They are placed so perfectly! I really hope we get to see more of her in the future, she looks like a lot of fun :D
That's a beautiful piece of art! And although you describe Willow as genderless it looks so female I really find that I want to describe it/her as such! There's so much detail on the picture, and I love the skin texture. I didn't notice the translucent ear until you pointed it out but it's a great little feature!
Also, thank you for Watching me.

Ah, that might well be true. Willow seems to be an aspirational female name. I've known two women who changed their names from something else to Willow.
Not that I mean to shamelessly plug (okay, maybe I do), but I'd be interested in writing a text-only commission for you, if you're looking at the moment.

I named it Willow due to the supple qualities it shares with the tree, though its given name is usually drawn from a pool of trees that grow around where I live. And I'm good on the written commission. Thanks for offering though. I don't like people other than myself writing about my characters. What I meant was the next time I purchase art of this character it will be from a text reference, not a visual one.
