This is an Alaskan reindeer antler shed with a dreamcatcher web woven into it. This piece was designed with three elements in mind: ice, winter starlight, and the northern lights. On the web are polished abalone shell pieces and prism crystal beads, the shifting colors of which represent the ever-changing hues of the northern lights. Hanging white deerskin laces might remind you of icicles and there is a smattering of sterling silver beads and silver 'frozen leaf' charms. Two snow goose feathers sit on the very top and over thirty tiny Swarovski crystals are set into the main beam of the antler add a little sparkle reminiscent of starlight. The antler itself has been painted crisp white and sealed with a satin finish. It has a loop with which to hang it on a wall.
This dreamcatcher also has a little trick up its sleeve. Hang it in a sunlit window or shine a bright light on it at the right angle and the crystals will refract tiny light spots all over on the nearest surfaces ~ instant arctic starlight, if you will. :)
30 inches high and 39 inches across at the widest point, if you wondered.
Managed to tie my thumb to it while weaving the inner web. FAIL.
