Though there are 9 species of lovebird, depicted here are the Yellow Collared Lovebird of Tanzania, and the Rosy-Faced Lovebird of southwestern Africa. As per their name, lovebirds bond in long term monogamous pairs. They are cherished as pets for their loving nature to a bonded human, but can become aggressive if not loved properly.
