The La tribe originalys from Eastern Thanalan near the Sandgate — they have one to two tribal camps in the area and are rather small, second generation and even though they are small they are doing well and not dying out until recent events with the Amalj’aa kidnappings to bring offerings to Ifrit. They look up to the python animal totem, The python represents life force and primal raw energy to the tribe,The python represents life force and primal raw energy to the tribe, a source of healing, change, transitions in life and increased manifestations of energy. The python symbolises life and death combined into one totem and the tribe both loves and fears it. The pyhton to the La tribe brings life like water, but can also kill like poison.They aren’t dying out but they are still recovering from the Calamity and lucky to have survived it the La tribe is doing their best to prosper and not die out as a branched off tribe and when the kidnappings by the Amalj’aa — such goals of prosperity are becoming harder and harder to maintain while still suffering losses from the Calamity.So in order to insure survival, the tribe leader has sent out various members of the tribe to Ul’dah and surrounding hamlets in the attempt to seek out aid so members of their tribe are not kidnapped to further temper Ifrit.
