The original sketch for this was quite different than the end result. For starters, it was meant to be my 'sona, Elsewhere, riding a Netch in the wastes of Solstheim (Skyrim: Dragonborn). But I dunno...It just kinda fell into this instead?

Featured is my new Draik, Beyjorah, from Neopets and her pet/mount, Timberjack. I adore Musk Oxen and really had an urge to draw something like one so this seemed like a good opportunity. The only reason I still brave the over-produced world of Neopets anymore is to dote on my pets that I've kept around for going on 12 years (my oldest account was deactivated so the 12 yr-old one is where I focus the majority of my efforts) and for art. Sometimes I enter the pet beauty contest but that's not often. Maybe I should enter this? Not sure about that yet though.

This whole thing was mostly an experiment. I tried a bunch of new things with coloring, texturing, lighting and shading...pretty much all the things. I guess it remains to be seen if I actually learned anything from this, but I suppose I'm pretty happy with it. Sort of? There are things I like about it and things I don't, but I had to step away from it or I'd probably overwork it.

It's not often that I'm able to make a huge piece like this just for myself so it was kinda nice having a project to do in my spare time that was just...for me. Not for work, not for other people, just me. Anyways, enjoy!
