(Sweet use of 'huckleberry' in that last line - I never hear much of that (not here in Britain, in any case!)

I first hear it spoken by Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday in the movie Tombstone. Really great film.

I know it from 'Moon River', but a great phrase all the same...perhaps huckleberries aren't that popular here!

I think it would be quite a redundant statement to emphasize the idiosyncrasy of this poem of yours, judging how it is a definition of you elaborated through the exploitation of artistic mannerisms.

You've done an excellent job at throwing me into an intriguing situation. It is hard to analyze such a poem ( except for its structure ) without adopting an aura of subjectivity. I personally believe these kind of poems can be extrapolated to an ordeal of embedding one's self through as deepest and most harmonious metaphors as possible.

And I believe you provided a harmonious description of yourself.

The flow is... very sleek. And there was enjoyment in reading it.

The structure is nicely conveyed, too. Basically, I can easily observe your typical style and I like this traditionalist aura.

Two things inspired this. The first was that I had just finished replying to a few folks who had posted some rather sexist bits of humor, and I was frustrated. The second is that I had recently added a number of people to my friends list. Mostly folks who added me due to knowing one of my partners.

I wanted to write something that summed me up in a way that gave the broadest possible definition of who, and what I am as a person while being something that would make people smile as well as hopefully serve as a gentle reminder to folks on my friends list that we should all do our best to love & respect one another.

I agree with you that I managed to do that really well here. The structure isn't perfect but then I think that suits it since I'm far from perfect.
