We had space cats, but now, ladies and gentleman… space dogs?! My life is complete! (Pro tip, check out Dog Blood)
Now I listen to a lot of music, more than I’d ever admit, and as an outcome to that I have a rather large collection of non-mainstream songs that I’m always listening too. I love that kind of stuff because it’s unique, and I can say… “Hey, that’s ‘insert musician name here’ song, his style really stands out”!
I think going mainstream puts pressure on your tunes to sound similar to what else is trending at the time, which gets kinda boring after a while.
Anyways, I thought I’d throw together a mix of 6 songs with you fine furry folk that you might not have heard before (but should have). I should mention that these are not songs I pulled off of FA, but instead found on YouTube in one way or another.
They are all very unique, and I’d encourage you to check out the other songs the artists I’m spotlighting have made (that will, in turn, perhaps inspire you in one way or another with your own music making). You get extra points if you know one or two of these songs already!
Anyways, enough talk… time is a-wasting! Without further hesitation, let me present to you: ‘Space Dogs Are a Thing?!’

I dig "The Moss". The music's not something I'd want to hear all the time, but there's a really compelling folkness to the lyrics. I can't quite explain it; it's not often I like a song for its lyrics alone.
"The Curse" is very Imogen Heap-meets-Rasputina. Much stronger liking for this one.
"Diamond" reminds me of something... It's getting late, I'm having a hard time formulating words now.
Ah, fuggeddaboutit. Thanks for posting a neat mix of unusual music!

IKR!
I was at a furry house in Toronto, chilling with a friend, and that song just came on the TV. I spring up from the couch (breaking our cuddling) and quickly write down the name of it. I definitely don't regret doing so now! I too have listened to this song many times... if you have the time, you should check out his other songs (and in particular, The Fly).
Glad this mix gave you something to listen too!

When I was at Furnal Equinox and the dance competition was going on, I was overjoyed to hear that two of the dancers had picked swingy songs, and I totally hugged both of them after the competition. What's even better is that one of the two dancers came in third place!

I've always wanted to make a music video that starts off looking like it's a just a dance class for girls practicing swing dance by themselves, but then part way through when they're doing all the lifts and tosses, they're actually doing them, as if they had invisible partners there. Just a concept that looks cool in my head. One day... XD
