“Ugh! When will people learn!” A fetching collie, covered in green and white fur, and wearing a leotard made of leaves, strolled through a park. “Pranking heroes is not funny, even if it is April Fool’s Day!” Collie Flower rubbed her temples, seething “Let it go Mona.” With a determined sigh, the chlorokinetic heroine arched her back, and set off at an unhurried pace.

Soon, her bushy tail softly wagged, her thoughts wandering contentedly as birds sang and leaves rustled in a breeze. The green canine breathed deeply, enjoying the scents of the coming spring. Until a few drops splashed over her soft cheeks. “Really!? Even the weather is messing with me?” Collie Flower shielded her emerald eyes, surrounded by a spotless white mask, as she looked to the sky.

Instead of dark clouds, a Florida panther donning a red and yellow costume and dark pants reclined overhead, as if he were lying on an elbow. A red blindfold hid his eyes, and a blue water pail, with orange polka dots, was clutched in his paw. “Does this give your powers a boost? If not, I was going to try a bag of fertilizer next!” The athletic feline’s black-tipped tail twitched in amusement as he tilted the pail, sprinkling the collie once more.

Collie Flower could only squint at her visitor in confusion. In a moment of clarity, her face lit up. “Oh, you must be Slipstream.”

“Woohoo, my reputation precedes me!” The panther circled her a few times. “Trial and error states that now you are either going to hit me or laugh along.”

The canine femme smirked. “Or this!” A vine, coiled around her forearm, sprang to life, snatching the water pail. Guided by its master, the plant doused Slipstream’s pants.

The beige fur’s tail stood on end. Uttering a mock gasp, he threw his paws behind his head. “Oh no! I’ve wet myself!” A wide grin was plastered across his muzzle.

Collie Flower did her best to hide giggles behind a paw, but laughter breached her lips. Good-humoredly, she patted his shoulder. “April Fool’s, airhead!”

Slipstream looked puzzled. “It’s April Fool’s Day?”
