Another site of the fire in the swamp. This site has red pine and jack pine. The jack pine will do better now that the fire has opened their cones and released the seed inside. Behind this vantage is a sandy hill where the jack pine are flourishing. And across the way is a drier spot filled with red pine. The trees in this area were burned all the way to their crowns.
