(back story)

the legend tells he was just a mere mortal back at the 1st era of the Arkadian planet. Ankou used to be one of the best warriors on Arkadia and won many battles under the stand of the power of the recently formed Elysdrillan empire. One day he lost everything as his body was corrupted by a cursed scroll he stole from an ancient ruin looking for power. he prayed to the divines for mercy, Hirgarth the god of hunt heard his plea, he told Ankou that he had no remedy as a moral soul so he made him a bargain, he would have to pass through a forsets sticking to a path in order to ascend his soul and become immortal but if he was killed on the way his moral body would die and his soul would serve as keeper of the underpass grounds. Ankou accepted, little he knew that Hirgath had seted him up a trap… as he walked through the forset, the ghosts of each soul he had slayed on the past began to attack him looking for revenge. all his attempts to defend him self where futile against the overwhelming number souls, soon the ghost had killed him by opening up his torso and removing each organ in his corpse. that’s how he acceded as the angel of death and keeper of the underpass grounds. Some tell that if you pray to him and sacrifice a heart in his name he would grant you any wish you desire, as long you survive the same trial he went through, but if you die under his trial, your soul become on more lost soul moaning in pain under the red blood moon of the underpass grounds for ever.
