an old piece of artwork that I finally finished through the 'magic' of Photoshop.
One of my favorite games of the PS2 era was 'War of the Monsters', it was just a wickedly fun game with an awesome concept (and REALLY well implemented). Basically one big ode to giant monsters and classic b-movies of the 50's and 60's by the minds who made Twisted Metal. With almost fully-destructible environments, and near countless ways to defeat your foes. The bosses were HUGE, and the gameplay easy to pick up on.
SHAME they've never made a sequel. This was a game that SCREAMED for a sequel. I keep hearing rumblings that the company would love to make one, but nothing ever seems to materialize.
BUT that didn't stop my then younger mind from toying with an idea of a monster for said sequel idea... inspired by King Ghidorah. Except the other two heads (left and right) would play the role of 'improvised hands' when grabbing things or climbing.
The story behind his origin was that Trimagorra is the end result of various failed experiments by some Mad Scientist (natch), that accidentally get exposed to the potent mutative qualities of the martian ship fuel that act as the catalyst of the events of the game.
Mutating, combining and growing to a height of about 100-125ft, a new destructive abomination was born!
Hope it looks good.
