Let me start out by saying that this project needed to happen long ago. My old version of Uru (4.0) looked ok, but was not very wearable. It was the first resin blank I had worked with, so I didn't really know what I was doing... LET ME REMEDY THAT.
(also Uru 5.0 was made by donthugcacti so I'm not counting that one really)
After much forethought and hesitation, I started into this lengthy project. I had new fur in stock already, and I decided that rather than building an entirely new head and having 4.0 spend the rest of her days in my closet, I would refurbish her into something new!
I tore all the fur off of her, saving her ears because I was happy with them, tore her jawset out, removed the foam hood, balaclava, and inside foam lining. I enlarged the tearducts so the vision would be better, replaced the mesh, and added quite a bit of foam to her face. I wanted her to have a more friendly look, and I'm very pleased with the results!
I then added her old ears back on and proceeded to fur her, shave her, and airbrush her. She has a subtle smile as well, which I love. Her new balaclava is also much more comfortable to wear because I have a new source for them. On top of all of that, her moving jaw is now functional, though I do have a bit of tweaking to do still.
She will have Saber teeth added at some point, I have not done them yet.
I AM NOT LOOKING FOR CRITIQUE ON HER AT THIS TIME.

This is a beautiful piece; it looks so lifelike I just wanna stroke its fur, especially that soft-looking stuff around the neck.
I have a question - the eyes seem always to be facing the camera; is that some sort of optical effect, or do you have to pose them like that?
