Well, it was about a week after Abby's passing that most of the family missed having a dog. I personally wasn't ready but I did miss having a companion.
Were still not sure what she is, though. The pound had her written as pit-lab mix butt he vet that did the spaying said she's a miniature pinscher. Whichever the case, she's still small. Believe it or not, she got up on my shoulders like that and actually did start to nap there. She's more like a cat than a dog.
We were going to nickname her, Cujo. When she bites it's not the gentle puppy biting. She's more like ripping flesh from bone. A number of people in the house have decent cuts from those razor sharp teeth.

Thanks. Losing that dog was more painful than when my father and last grandmother died or any other pet. When I would go to my room, she'd lay on my bed and nap.
I feel empty without her and would've done anything to shave off a few years and make her a mature adult again.

I probably could've gone without another one because I was that dedicated to Abby. She was the one thing that helped to stabilize my mental health and now she's gone and there'll never be another one like her.
But a missing dog did leave too big of a hole in the household.
