Way back when I was thinking about getting into comics, I created a number of possible strips including one that was a little like Pogo, with a cast of animal characters. Unlike Walt Kelly's newspaper strip, I planned to mix humans into the story. The main character was Calamity, a rabbit who's luck was all bad as a rule, despite having *two* rabbit's feet. Weak Willy Treadwater was a poacher who tried to catch the animals for reasons I never went into, but was such an klutz he was never successful. The picture gives you the idea. There was also an egghead mole named Scientific Edmund, a fox character named Pandora, and one or two others I don't recall off the top of my head. The idea went no further than designing the characters and doing one or two cartoons like this one. No story ever came of it -- the ideas just didn't come. No doubt that's why I dropped the whole thing.
