While D.Z works furiously to pump out scripts for future chapters, I've finally had the time to get round and tweak our character designs a little and how the lineart will be handled. In this case, Taylor has had a few changes to her looks and the first on the list.
Her nose has been lifted slightly, her eyes have been given a touch up to make them a little more feminine and unique to her. Her hair is the biggest change and is a little more curvy and much more defined by fewer strand lines. If you remember from before her hair was quite busy because of it and I felt it made the lineart seemed a bit too cluttered, so I toned it down to just the key hair parts with smaller strands. I think it makes her hair a lot cleaner.
The other thing you'll notice is I'm using much more thinner lines. I've gone a bit used to just using one brush thickness in doing my lines and doing thin lines for small marks, now it's a mixture of thick and thin lines across the character. Granted this is a large portrait scene but having worked on a side comic commission to practice on I think this small change makes the pages more readable.
It's good to be able to draw her again, and hopefully I'll have another member of the crew to show you in the near future. Let me know what you think in the comment.s
