These beasties were inspired largely by creodonts (namely hyaenodon, hence my odd spelling of hyaena), but also great danes, pit bulls, The Pony Express and its horses, arabian oryx, okapi, bongo, leopard seals....there was a LOOOOT of creatures thrown in the blender for these things :|
