He is, it was a joke uwu
the HD collection is a good place to start IF you have patience; the games do tie in with each other but not story wise, just very subtle ways (the survival guide advertised in the case of The Room goes into more detail about that). You WILL need patience, though; 2 and 3 both have fixed camera angles, and have a tendency to turn you around when exiting a room which can be frustrating if you;re not the explore everything kind of person.
If you are a bit ehh about the fixed camera angles with the wonky exit door controls, i recommend The Room. In some places the cameras are fixed but I believe you can turn the cameras.
And if you want to play it safe, get Downpour. free camera reign completely. woo. the only downside I PERSONALLY found to it was the title was utter crap. it's called downpour not because of anything to do with the story, just the monsters get more aggressive when it was raining - which made zero difference at all for gameplay, they attack you either way. There could have been 50 better titles for it. But it is a good game, with multiple endings that are ALL worth playing for!
I'm half way through Shattered memories, but so far, I'd defs recommend that one (just not on the Wii, I have it on Wii and the controls are making me cry)
...that was longer than expected
whoops
