It's funny to think, Zaris sent me the ref for his character, one of the pics being Kazumas rendition which is actually one of my favorite pieces I saw when originally visiting his 'beast side' site. That's not so much the funny thing, that I always loved that piece, just funny over ten years later (13 to be precise) I'm drawing him based after that picture.

This picture incites many emotions within me. Happiness because Doc and I were so very close. Sadness because I just found it -- now -- so long after that wonderful, beautiful blue dragon has passed from us. I hope I could help him find his heavenly cloud.

It's interesting you should find this today as I was actually thinking about him today too, I hadn't realized you never saw it, maybe he didn't get a chance to let you know.
I found out about his passing earlier this year, It's never really quite sunk in, we used to chat quite a lot, and then fell out of touch until he commissioned this and we spoke a little bit more before I stopped hearing from him
I hope he knew that despite my shortcomings I did consider him someone very special and important to me, least I hope I managed to convey that in the few notes I got to send him at that time.
At some point I'm hoping to draw something to reflect that, he really was a wonderful person...and I really miss him too.
