Since the-park.me is down indefinitely, this is where I will post the channel rules:
* No sex-related content in the public channels!
* Keep the content in general sufficiently toned down for minors; we sometimes get users as young as 13 in here. Words like "damn" and "hell" are too severe of language for the room, except in the context of religious discussion which you still shouldn't do (read the next rule). Any truly harsh vulgarities are banned outright.
* The Park is a place of peace. It is a casual conversation room and a safe RP environment for relaxing. Some members may like or even love discussions of serious topics, but these are inappropriate for #ThePark as a room! Don't argue politics, religion, or whatever random LGBT issue you want to crusade about this week. Please look at #ChristianFurs or make a new room for such content.
* No in-character violence either. Again, the park is a place of peace! Play-fighting is alright in moderation so long as it's very clear that nobody is getting hurt. If a moderator comes in part-way through such a fight and reprimands you, you're probably either playing too roughly or have been doing it for too long.
* No posting links to inappropriate content which would violate these rules.
* Please limit the number of links you post to songs you like or cute animal videos; most of us aren't interested or have other things to do with our eyes and ears. Go wild with static picture links, as they're trivial to glance at and close right away.
* Even the channel owners have failed on most of these points in the past; if you've been banned rather than merely scolded for failure, this must mean you were a very obnoxious and unapologetic person about your wrongdoing.
Description of The Park itself as a place:
The Park consists of wide grassy fields, some mixed deciduous and coniferous forest, a pond large enough to swim in (or for one macro user to bathe in), various pieces of playground equipment, and a single stretch of sidewalk that goes on forever.
Walk in one direction for a few hours and you'll find yourself back where you started; The Park is a self-contained pocket dimension where one edge transitions seamlessly into another but without a noteworthily spherical shape to the whole. You will never find a city, mountain, parking lot, house, etc. from simply walking, you'd need to pass through an interdimensional portal. Please do not try to industrialize this playground!
Regardless of the time of day, time of year, or your local weather The Park is always a pleasant clear-skied summer day. There are only two exceptions: We turn off the sun for Halloween and we let it snow on Christmas. Upon request, we may give another weather condition for the birthday of a channel regular if desired.
