Onta's most recent drawings reminded me of a hobby I used to have about a year ago. Speedpainting.
What is speedpainting? Check out this thread of infinite inspiration.

I could have easily colourized it from here... but nothing seemed appropriate.
The concept of the drawing is pretty abstract... evoking a certain feel by using specific shapes and patterns instead of laying down a concrete idea.... but that's her... and her name is Azza. Her design is pretty inconsistent... but it follows a few basic rules. A spindly demon armour thingy with the distinctive pompadour shaped helmet... or a dark, long haired woman with silver hair. Her Race and other specifcs vary from picture to picture... and at times I've drawn both versions at once as two seperate characters (since the armour itself is a seperate entity). You can consider her my Pepper of sorts.
(PS that is not the original weapon I drew. Somewhere along the line I accidentally wiped it so I decided to use a carbon copy of the sword of Damascus from lineage 2 as the blade... and even then, I took the easy way out. I drew half of it out, mirrored it, and rotated it.)
There are other things I should have been doing... but it's been so long since I did one of these drawings and I couldn't resist. Looks like I'm losing sleep tonight!

Really nice one O.o i look at the details in the steel like grains and the lighting and it really really makes it look more heavy and hard then it looks usually in most drawings. O.o i'm not sure how to explain that in english. Thats some great texturing.
Oh the impression of hardness is heavyness is amazing is what i mean.

This is... this is amazing. The shield is so smooth, it gives a great effect relative to the rest of the machine. The weapon is stylish but still functional-looking, and the texture on the mech is wonderfully gritty. I'm glad you chose not to colorize it because I think that would have ruined the metallic effect you've got going on here. The wicked grin really suits it.
I can't stop looking at the texturing on the shield-arm and midsection. How did you DO that?
