Male Lyssomanes viridis again. A much better shot than the one before. I'm glad I found him again.
His chelicerae are super crazy long.

I'm using the Canon 100mm Macro lens (it's made for closeups like this).

Sweeet... *is a bit frustrated at not finding a price listed, but drools anyway* Neat idea- inner focusing so you don't have to fiddle with the focal length- that ALWAYS kills too much time for me, and I often end up losing a sweet pic 'cuz I'm not fast enough. *is very inexperienced with tech things like cameras...*
He's actually quite a little guy. :)
There's no way he can compete with Tegenaria duellica, which I'm sad don't live here. :( They've taken root in Washington state though. They're quick too I hear. :D
Of course, SC's biggest spiders even make the large European house spiders look small. :P

no doubt about that. although we grow 'em pretty big for middle europe. :) I once have encountered a house spider which was so large she would have had her legs hanging over my hand if she sat down flat. :) and I have glove size 10...

Yeah, I've seen him. I even commented on the one. :)
They're probably some of the largest spiders in Europe outside of a few wolf spiders and tarantulas.
