Man, was this ever a pain in the ass to draw. I had to redo the movie clip in the background because when I copied and pasted it, it looked bad. Plus, I had to match up ever character and painting to fit in with the rest of the distorted perspective.
After several failed attempts for the guy on the right, I got out my camera and posed in my favorite suede jacket. The painting on the left is one that I physically painted then copied digitally. I'll consider doing a follow up, depends on the feedback I get.

I was just trying to create a sense of a really tense moment before catharsis. I have a tendency to imagine short vignettes rather then full stories.
So in this drawing I wanted to create the last second before a shootout when the intensity is at its highest. That's why I referenced "2001: A Space Odyssey" in the background because the scene showing on the TV I consider to be the most nerve-racking scene in cinematic history before Dave has to eject into the vacuum of space with no helmet on.
But the general idea I imagined is that the young guy in the suit is part of an underground movement to overthrow a government. The chubby guy was sent to kill him. The young one has never killed before but has a clear shot and is willing to kill to save his own ass. I had it planned that the chubby guy is killed but the young guy is still shot.
That's what you get for your fav. Imagine how much you'd get for shirtless Boris. ^..^
