Byproduct of the obligatory springtime lizardstalking.
An European Green Lizard, probably a young male. It seems like it is easier to approach them from under (if possible), maybe they more afraid of predators swooping down from above.
The camera is (still) the Olympus C2500L, with it's 2.5MPx and only 3x optical zoom it is quite challenging to get these done! This photo was taken approximately 25 or so centimetres from the lizard. Some day I should invest in some proper camera already. With this stalking I could take their very eyes then!
