How does this differ from what Dave did?
Well, for one, I corrected the 'F' not being mirrored in the original, got rid of the JPEG compression artefacts, and scaled it up to its current size, keeping the edges smooth the whole time (which was probably the trickiest part).
The holographic computer being used was actually invented by me for this image. I still have the design of it saved.
One thing I like about this image is that it's so easy to change what the computer's being used for. Dave obviously used it for me be nastier than is realistic online (I'd never actually use that acronym myself). I've made my own modifications to copies of this image (or rather, the original) for other activities on the computer.
