I like to think of it as the monster he'd become if he was kidnapped by a dark legion, forced into a heavy foam rubber monster suit, then sealed up to let him slowly merge with the costume. Soon a new snake-alien hybrid monster would open his glowing red eyes for the first time, ready to pledge himself to his new life, serve his dark masters. His fangs would drool, thinking of crushing the rangers under a massive clawed foot, or letting them writhe in futility as he doused them with thick, immobilizing foam.

Either way, I think he makes a pretty handsome monster (the design could use some work, but a good start I think )
