Our black cat, Isis, surprised us recently by getting pregnant. She was the runt of her litter and always small, so she didn't go into heat for almost 5 years, so we didn't think it necessary to get her fixed. She has been living with my cat, Idjit, who is well behaved for a boy and doesn't spray everything, and he isn't allowed outside. Idjit has a gimp front leg that seemed to prevent him from catching Isis (and he was raised by people and didn't get any wrestling lessons, nor did he get the birds and the bee's discussion) so we saw no reason to separate them. After nearly two years of being together, though, the fates a lined and she got pregnant. She gave birth yesterday morning to a single kitten. The kitten will likely be solid black like mommy, but for now it is partially grey (on its back and butt). More pics as it grows.
For now Isis is content curling up in her drawer, half on top of her kitten.
