In a tragic future, Zearou “Blackheart” is banished from Equestria and forced to fight for survival in the land of griffons overseas. He now serves as a gladiator in a coliseum built for barbaric entertainment and public execution.

Blackheart is wearing the helmet of the late Drelshik Divyne (ChangelingCaptainDrelshik), who was defeated by an elite warrior from the Royal Guard during a battle resulting in Blackheart’s capture and banishment. Blackheart was unable to save Drelshik but managed to severely incapacitate his attacker and salvage Drelshik’s helmet. Subsequently surrounded and outnumbered by additional elite officers, Blackheart was quickly forced to surrender.
